Medical device sales career training
The reality: Most medical device sales jobs attract 200 to 300 applicants, and less than 1 percent of applicants break into the field. Without B2B sales experience or a clinical background, it’s hard to even get an interview. That’s the gap we close.
Hiring managers know the commitment it takes to complete the Med Sales Institute program, and the clinical and sales foundation you gain here. That foundation dramatically improves your likelihood of success in the role, and lowers their risk of hiring someone who isn’t ready.
Explore the role
Pick a specialty to see the work, the people, and how you’d get started.
What you’d support
Plates, screws, rods and nails that surgeons use to repair broken bones.
Who you work with
Orthopedic trauma surgeons, operating room nurses and techs, and the hospital teams that prepare instrument sets.
A typical day
Fractures don’t keep office hours, so trauma reps are often on call. A day can mean covering an urgent case, making sure every instrument set is complete, and showing OR staff how new instruments work.
Where people start
Often as an associate sales rep, covering cases alongside an experienced rep while you learn the product line.

Maybe not, and we’d rather you know before you enroll. If you already have business-to-business sales experience or clinical experience that transfers, apply first. If you have neither, you’re competing with 200 to 300 applicants for each job. MSI gives you both in 8 to 10 weeks, plus an introduction to 2,100+ hiring managers.
