I graduated from Western Michigan University with my Master of Arts in April 2020 and Bachelor of Science in April 2017. After graduating with my Master of Arts with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, I worked as a Mental Health Case Manager in Flint, MI. I have worked in the medical field, while also completing two practicums during graduate school at the University of Michigan, as well as Maitland Cottage Children’s Orthopaedic Hospital, Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Home for Chronically Ill Children in Cape Town, South Africa. I also worked in the restaurant and service industry, as well as a pro shop assistant at my local golf course during my time in college and graduate school.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
Ultimately, my passion for medicine, relationships and education has led me to my interest in the medical device sales industry.

Dynamic Consultative Sales training gave me the ability to put everything I learned into reality. This training enabled me to have the confidence of being able to sell a product and have the speaking. The role plays provided were very helpful.

Career Development training was an excellent way to prepare us for landing our dream job! Being able to have help with any steps in the interview process was very important to me.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
I did not try for very long because I never made it past the application. I was told that it's who you know or lack of sales experience. It was tough not knowing where to begin, but MSC was exactly what I needed.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
My hiring company reached out to me after seeing my profile on Zero-Fee Recruiting. There was a total of three interviews. I first had a phone screening with HR Manager, in-person interview with the Sales Representative, then I met with the owner and HR Manager. During the last interview, I was offered the position.
